As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I was again overwhelmed with the love of God as the ocean waves washed the beach over and over -- just as He washes us with His love.

Do you know who you are in God's eyes? You are the apple of God's eye. Just as the pupil is in the center of your eye, you are the center of God's attention. You didn't choose God; He chose you. Before you were formed in your mother's womb, God saw you. And the Scriptures teach that God has already approved and accepted you. He may not be pleased with every decision you have made, but understand this extremely important truth; God is pleased with you.

If God approves you, why don't you accept and approve yourself? The Scripture doesn't say that God approves you as long as you don't make any mistakes, as long as you don't have any weaknesses. God approves you conditionally. He accepts you and loves you in spite of your faults.

Today as you start your new month, be aware of how very much you are loved . . . you are precious to Him. Be blessed today and walk loved.

Psalm 17:8 -- "Keep me as the apple of the eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I felt His love overcome me the same way the beauty of His ocean overcomes me each time I look at it.

He has such wonderful things prepared for us -- we must always be aware of how our Father sees us. He sees us as more than conquerors, victors, warriors that are here on the earth -- equipped to take the enemy out! What a thought!

We can walk victoriously every day -- no matter what the enemy tries to bring against us. We are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath! We have victory every day as we stay focused on His Word, not the words of the enemy! Speak to that mountain today and see it be cast into the sea . . . Jesus said that -- not me! Not you!

Today rise up and be a threat to the enemy by being who He called you to be! You are the conqueror today -- you are the victor over every circumstance in life today! Be the Warrior and live victoriously!

Romans 8:37 -- "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us!"

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I wondered how God decided how far to bring the tide in each day, twice a day. He always knew the right thing to do, after all, He was God!

How do you make your decisions? If you face difficult decisions, it helps to seek counsel from someone you respect. We should always stay open and be willing to take advice. But after you've prayed about something and looked at all the options, be bold enough to make a decision that is right for you. If you're going to try to please everybody else by doing things you don't really want to do, you will be cheating yourself. You can run yourself in circles trying to be something that you're not, and you'll run the risk of missing out on God's best for your own life.

Make sure the people who are giving you advice have earned your respect as a source of wisdom. Then, you need to follow your own heart in light of God's Word and do what you feel is right and good for you.

Proverbs 24:6 -- "For by wise counsel you will wage your own war, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the little sandpipers scurried about digging for food in the sand. They moved quickly, though young, they know what they are created for . . . and how to do it! And it seems they have no coach watching them, but there they are performing their God given gift of seeking their food along the beach.

God has given you the grace to do what He's called you to do. He has not given you the grace to do what everybody else is doing. Take care of yourself; quit looking at what everybody else is doing. Be your best, regardless of whether you come in first or last, whether you get the big promotion or not, whether you make the grade or fall on your face in failure. If you do, you can hold your head high.

Granted, you will face enormous pressure to do what everybody else is doing, to try to please everybody and meet all their expectations. Accept the fact that everybody's not going to agree with every decision you make. But you don't have to please everyone else; you need to please only God.

Ecclesiastes 2:26 -- "To the man who pleases Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the tiny sandpipers chasing the waves to get their food. They never stop running swiftly along the shore line to get food daily . . . they have determined to succeed in finding their food.

Every morning, when you get up, set your mind for success. Almost like a magnet, we draw in what we constantly think about, and it becomes a battlefield in our mind. If we dwell on depressing, negative thoughts, we will be depressed and negative. If we think positive, happy, joyful thoughts, our life will reflect that and attract other upbeat, positive people. Our life follows our thoughts.

And our thoughts also affect our emotions. We will feel exactly the way we think. You cannot expect to feel happy unless you think happy thoughts. Conversely, it is impossible to remain discouraged unless you first think discouraging thoughts. So much of success and failure in life begins in our minds.

2 Chronicles 20:15 -- "This is what the Lord says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.'"

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, it seemed easy to have a "down" attitude, because the sky was gray and the air was damp . . . not the usual sunny clear bright sky that covers the ocean shore.

I thought of how easy it is to take a "down" attitude when things aren't going our way. We must take responsibility for our minds and our actions. As long as we keep making excuses and blaming our family tree, our environment, past relationships with other people, and our circumstances, and attributing blame to God, Satan, anyone or anything, we will never be truly free and emotionally healthy. To a large extent, we can control our own destinies.

It's not your circumstances that have you down; your thoughts about your circumstances have you down. It is possible to be in one of the biggest battles for your life and still be filled with joy and peace and victory -- if you simply learn how to choose the right thoughts. Fill your mind with God's word today and be free!

Philippians 4:8 -- "You'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious -- the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, my thought is that this is always a perfect place to be . . . that nothing bad happens at the beach. But that is not true . . . people come here to recuperate from bad things that happen in their life . . . and we all have them.

It is unrealistic to pretend that nothing bad ever happens to us. Bad things happen to good people. Pretense is not the answer; nor is playing semantic games to make yourself sound more spiritual. If you are sick, admit it; but keep your thoughts on your Healer. If your body is tired, if your spirit is weary, fine; but focus your thoughts on the One who has promised, "Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength." (Isaiah 40:31)

Jesus said, "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33) He wasn't saying that troublesome times wouldn't come; He was saying that when they do, we can choose our attitudes. We can choose to believe and dwell on the promises of God's Word.

Proverbs 23:7 -- "As he thinks within himself, so he is."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I saw the richness of the ocean that feeds all of God's creatures that live there. I then thought of how our Heavenly Father has put all we need to be fed spiritually and physically here in the earth.

One of the most important aspects of seeing ourselves God's way involves developing a prosperous mind-set. Understand, God has already equipped you with everything you need to live a prosperous life and to fulfill your God-given destiny. He planted "seeds" inside you filled with possibilities, incredible potential, creative ideas and dreams. But you have to start tapping into them.

You've got to believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that you have what it takes. God created you to excel, and He's given you ability, insight, talent, wisdom and His supernatural power to do so. This morning, God has everything you need. Enter into the joy of the Lord and be faithful to use all He has given you.

Ephesians 1:3 -- "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the sandpiper chase the little crabs in the sand for food. He never gave up until he had caught his food . . . he became a conqueror!

How about you . . . are you more than a conqueror? Notice that the Apostle Paul did not say we will become conquerors; he says we are more than conquerors right now! If you will start acting like it, talking like it, seeing yourself as more than a conqueror, you will live a prosperous and victorious life. The price has already been paid for you to have joy, peace and happiness. That's part of the package that God has made available to you.

Start looking through eyes of faith, seeing yourself rising to new levels. See yourself prospering, and keep that image in your heart and mind. You may be living in poverty at the moment, but don't ever let poverty live in you. The Bible shows that God takes pleasure in prospering His children. As His children prosper spiritually, physically, and materially, their increase brings God pleasure! You are the conqueror of this life!

Romans 8:17 -- "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the wind was blowing, and it made me want to turn back and not complete the walk . . . but I persisted and completed the walk. I decided not to give up and continue to keep on going . . . even though I felt like nothing was being accomplished by the walk.

Today, you may be frustrated because you feel God's plan isn't working in your life. But never fear; God is arranging all the pieces to come together to work out His plan for your life. Though you may not feel it or see it, He has been working in your favor long before you encountered the problem.

Don't grow impatient and try to force doors to open. Don't try to make things happen in your own strength. Your situation may look just as it did for the past ten years, but then one day, in a split second of time, God will bring it all together. When it is God's timing, all the forces of darkness can't stop Him. When it is your due season, God will bring it to pass.

Galations 6:9 -- "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I saw a piece of paper on the beach and started to walk by it -- but knew I had to go back to pick it up . . . obedience is a good thing.

Any time you see what the Word says and refuse to do it, reasoning has somehow gotten involved and deceived you into believing something other than the truth. There may be times when you don't understand everything the Word says, but you should move ahead and do it. God wants you to obey Him whether or not you feel like it, want to do it, or think it is a good idea. When God speaks, we are not to question His methods. His ways are not our own.

Proverbs 3:5 says, "Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding." In other words, don't rely on reason or logic. When God speaks, we are to mobilize, not rationalize. Just do it!

James 1:22 -- "But be doers of the Word, and not merely listeners to it."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, my mind was overcome with thoughts of concern for the world . . . the state our society finds itself in. I was immediately taken to the passage that says, "We have the mind of Christ." And if we do, we need to have confidence in His ability to take care of His children.

The Bible clearly tells you that as a Christian, you have the mind of Christ. Why, then, do you experience times when you feel like you're on an emotional roller coaster?

Romans 8 teaches you that you also have a mind of the flesh, which causes you to think, say, feel, and do things that make you unproductive.

That's why it is important to recognize your feelings are not reliable. You must choose to go deeper than your feelings and live by what you know deep in your heart.

If you sometimes feel your mind is lost in a maze of confusion, it's time to give up the mind of the flesh and operate in the mind of Christ. It is an exchange that will lead you out of frustration and into victorious Christian living . . . thinking His thoughts, not yours.

1 Corinthians 2:16 -- "We have the mind of Christ and do hold the thoughts of His heart."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the sun was shining brightly on the water. The glory of God was surely reflected in His creation on this sunny morning.

I thought of how we are His light in the earth. You and I have the opportunity every day we live to show Jesus to the world. We do that by walking in His love -- the love of the Father that was first revealed and expressed in His Son Jesus and is now manifested in you and me.

The world is looking for something real, something tangible. They are looking for love in all the wrong places. God is the one true source of all love.

According to 2 Corinthians 5:20 you are Christ's ambassador, His personal representative. God is making His appeal to draw the world to Him through you.

Today as you walk your seashore of life, think about this -- do people sense you love and care about them? Does the way you live your life make them desire to have a relationship with God? Today, determine to be a light in the dark places of the world!

John 13:35 -- "By this shall all know that you are My disciples, if you love one another."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I found myself thinking about the creation and how God created it with His words. We have been given the same power of creativity with the power of our words. They are speaking either life or death.

Have you ever said something that hurt someone else . . . or perhaps caused unfavorable consequences for yourself? I know I have. For years I just said whatever I felt like saying, but thank God I have learned that words are powerful. What you say has the power to impact your life -- and the lives of others -- for good or bad. So it is wise to think about what you're going to say before you say it.

You should speak only words of encouragement that will build people up and make them feel better. You get many opportunities every day to put this into practice, but it requires real discipline and determination.

You may have been hurt by someone's words . . . or perhaps you have hurt someone with your words. Today you can change that. . . . starting now. It will take prayer and discipline, but God will help you develop and exercise control over the words you speak.

Psalm 141:3 -- "Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I changed the direction I normally walk . . . going from North to South. Sometimes we just need to do something different.

Do you ever get really tired of doing the same old thing all the time? You want to do something different but you either don't know what to do, or you are afraid to do the new thing you are thinking about doing?

You often get into ruts. You do the same thing all the time even though you are bored with it because you are afraid to step out and do something different. You would rather be safe and bored than excited and living on the edge. There is a certain amount of comfort in sameness -- you may not like it, but you are familiar with it.

God has created you to need and crave diversity and variety. You require freshness and newness in your life. As you walk your seashore of life this day, make a quality decision to step out into the new thing God has for you. And don't forget to enjoy yourself.

Isaiah 43:19 -- "Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I saw a little sandpiper with a wounded wing that I wanted to help. He ran away from me and yet I wanted to help him -- because he was weak and needed help, just like we do from Jesus.

We need help -- and a lot of it. Jeremiah 10:23 says, "The way of a man is not in himself; it is not in man (even in a strong man or in a man at his best) to direct his steps." It really is impossible for man to properly run his own life. Admitting that fact is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of spiritual maturity. You are weak unless you find your strength in God, and the sooner you face that fact, the better.

Many people have position, wealth, and power, but they may not have what really matters -- good relationships, right standing with God, peace, joy, contentment, satisfaction, good health, and the ability to enjoy life. Not everything that appears well is well! You may be trying hard to make things work out right and always failing. Your problem is not that you are a failure. Your problem is simply that you have not gone to the right source for help . . . your Heavenly Father. He is waiting to help you.

1 Corinthians 4:10 -- "We are weak, but you are strong."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, the sky was gray and cold . . . it seemed to cover up the beauty of the beach when the sun is shining brightly. But the real beauty of the beach is there, no matter how the gray sky masks it.

I thought of how we sometimes wear masks as Christians . . . afraid to be who we really are, trying to please others. Are you tired of playing games, wearing masks, and trying to be someone other than who you are? Wouldn't you like the freedom to just be accepted as you are, without pressure to be someone you really don't know how to be? Would you like to learn how to succeed at being yourself?

God wants you to accept yourself, to like who you are, and to learn to deal with your weaknesses. Everyone has weaknesses, but God doesn't want you to reject yourself because of them.

If you base your value on your weaknesses, you will underestimate your value. Your worth is not based on anything you do but on what God has already done.

So -- today as you walk on your seashore of life, if the devil has been trying to convince you that you don't measure up to the proper standard, remind him tonight that everyone is imperfect and that God loves you just the way you are.

Romans 8:26 -- "The Holy Spirit . . . bears us up in our weakness."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, a young girl needed help with her beach chair. I stopped to help her get it set up and went on my way. God reminded me that we should always be prompt to meet a need when we see it.

When God tells you to help someone, it is easy to put it off. You intend to obey God; it is just that you are going to do it later -- when you have more money, when you're not so busy, when Christmas is over, when the kids are back in school, or when vacation is over.

There is no point in praying for God to give you money so you can be a blessing to others if you are not being a blessing with what you already have. Satan will try to tell you that you don't have anything to give -- but don't believe him.

Even if it is only small amounts of money, a pack of gum or a ballpoint pen, start using what you have. As you begin to give what you have, God will bring increase into your life and you will be able to give in an even larger scale.

Proverbs 3:28 -- "Do not say to your neighbor, Go, and come again; and tomorrow I will give it."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched a little sandpiper fight with a small fish as he tried to capture the fish for food. He would pick it up and drop it, finally giving up as the fish swam into the ocean.

I thought of how we can become discouraged when the enemy keeps pounding us with problems. Discouragement destroys hope, so naturally the devil always tries to discourage you. Without hope you give up, which is what Satan wants you to do. The Bible repeatedly tells you not to be discouraged or dismayed. God knows you will not come through to victory if you get discouraged -- He wants you to be encouraged, not discouraged.

When discouragement or condemnation tries to overtake you, ask the Lord for strength and courage. Tomorrow is a new day. God loves you and His mercy is new every morning. Say, "I refuse to be discouraged. Father, the Bible says You love me. You sent Jesus to die for me. I'll be fine -- tomorrow will be a great day." Hope in Him.

Psalm 42:5 -- "Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted, within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, my Help and my God."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the tide come in and go back into its boundaries. I thought that once we experience life there are times we would like to take back some of our own experiences. But we can't live our lives with regrets, just as the tide can't take back the times it rolls in and out of the beach's borders.

Regret is ruining the lives of countless people by stealing their joy. Certainly you have things you wish you had done differently. But there is no sense becoming burdened with regret over something you have no power to change. No need to understand this is the way the devil works. God will warn you so you can change your mind before you make a mistake. Satan waits until it's too late, then tries to heap regret and condemnation upon you.

As you walk your seashore of life today, don't allow Satan to steal from you any longer. Ask God for forgiveness, if you haven't already, and leave your regrets in the past.

2 Corinthians 7:10 -- "For godly grief and the pain God is permitted to direct, produce a repentance that leads and contributes to salvation and deliverance from evil, and it never brings regret; but worldly grief is deadly."

As I walked the seashore with Jesus today, I was again reminded of God's goodness. He gave us the beauty of the ocean. The colors of the sunrise. The rythmn and beauty of the seasons. He gave us the gift of love.

How often do you remember God's goodness? Surely He has accomplished great things for you. Can you bring to mind the many times when He has shown you His love?

Dwell on His goodness and it will inspire you. Recall His excellent works and your faith will be renewed. Express your appreciation for His provision and your trust in His flawless character -- and your heart will soar to the threshold of heaven.

Nothing encourages your soul or pleases God like praise. So exalt Him as you walk your seashore of live, for all the joy He has given you. Show Him your appreciation for being such a good Father to you. His glorious acts are certainly worth repeating.

Isaiah 63:7 -- "I will tell of the Lord's unfailing love. I will praise the Lord for all He has done. I will rejoice in His great goodness."

At the seaside today, I was again amazed at the beauty of the ocean rolling into the shore. I couldn't help but wonder how anyone could look at His beautiful ocean and not believe in Him. Then I remembered that the very moment we believe in God, all of His goodness and grace are given to us.

All of the joy, peace, power and approval -- all the cherished characteristics associated with God -- were ours, the very moment we made the choice to believe. We may still be reminded of our failings or the mistakes we have made, however, this is not about us but about the effect God has on us.

Be encouraged today, my friend. No one can take away what God has given to you. His complete love and approval are yours forever, so rejoice and delight yourself in Him as you enjoy the seaside He created, wherever that may be. He loves you forever!

Mark 1:11 -- "I take delight in you!"

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the sunrise create a new and glorious day. I thought of how God created the world with His words. And then I thought of the power of our words given to us daily as we live our lives here on earth.

As a Christian, you have an awesome responsibility with regard to the words you speak. The Bible tells us that words are containers for power -- either creative or destructive. You can tear down or build up the people around you by what you say.

There is an abundance of discouragement coming from the world, but you have the great privilege of bringing encouragement to others by being positive in a negative world. It can be difficult however, so today as you walk your seashore of life, I encourage you to ask God to help you choose words that will bring positive changes in the lives of others . . . and to your own life too!

Proverbs 18:21 -- "Life and death are in the power of the tongue."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, worship filled my heart as I felt His presence there. It was so evident -- as I realized that He changes us, when we come into His presence . . . how can you see Him and not be changed!

God invites us to see His face so He can change ours. He uses our uncovered faces to display His glory. The transformation isn't easy. The sculptor of Mount Rushmore faced a lesser challenge than does God. But our Lord is up to the task. He loves to change the faces of His children. By His fingers, wrinkles of worry are rubbed away. Shadows of shame and doubt become portraits of grace and trust. He relaxes clenched jaws and smoothes furrowed brows. His touch can remove the bags of exhaustion from beneath the eyes and turn tears of despair into tears of peace.

How? Through worship. We would expect something more complicated, more demanding. A forty-day fast, or the memorization of Leviticus perhaps. But not God. His plan is simpler. He changes our face through worship -- pure and simple worship! Worship Him today and be changed.

Psalm 40:3 -- "He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God."

As I walked the seaside today with Jesus, I thought about the grace of God that covers us every day.

Grace is God's power coming into your situation to do for you what you cannot do for yourself. Once you understand grace, you must grow in learning how to receive it in every situation. Trusting God fully is something you grow into -- the more you trust Him, the stronger you are spiritually. You learn to trust God by doing it. You grow in grace by continually putting forth your faith in God and receiving His grace in situations that are difficult or impossible for you.

If you are struggling with something right now in your life, ask yourself honestly if you are putting your faith in God that His grace will meet the need. Today as you walk your seashore of life today, decide to walk in His grace!

2 Peter 3:18 -- "But grow in grace and recognition and knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and to day of eternity."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, one of the walkers on the beach had brought a dish for water for his dog that had been running on the beach. He was thirsty from the heat and needed a drink of fresh water.

I thought of our thirst or lack of thirst for God. We all thirst for more of God, but if you don't know He is what you are craving, you can be easily misled. Instead, if you set your mind on seeking God -- if you give Him first place in your desires, thoughts, and choices -- your thirst will truly be quenched and you will not be led astray.

David spoke of this longing for the Lord in Psalm 42:2 saying, "My inner self thirsts for God, for the living God." You are to search after God like a thirsty man in the desert. What does a thirsty man think about? Nothing but water! He isn't concerned about anything else but finding what it takes to quench his thirst. Today as you walk your seashore of life, God is saying to you, "Here I am, seek Me, I have everything you need."

John 6:35 -- "I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts and relies on Me will never thirst any more."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, my goal was to walk five miles before the walk ended. I was willing to set the goal and reach it -- and not settle until I had reached the five mile mark!

I thought about our Christian life -- do we have a willing heart to do what God tells us to do? When we talk about a willing heart, we are basically talking about "want to". Without it we will never do anything!

"Want to" is a powerful thing. With it you can lose weight, keep your house clean, save money, get out of debt, or reach any other goal in life you may have set for yourself. You don't really like to face the fact that your victory or defeat has a lot to do with your "want to."

We like to blame everything on someone or something else. But you need to sit down and take a good old-fashioned inventory of your "want to". You need to be honest enough to say, "Lord, I didn't win the victory because I really didn't "want to."" Today as you walk your seashore of life, ask the Lord to give you plenty of "want to." He will be there to help you -- if you really do "want to."

Exodus 25:1-2 -- "And the Lord said to Moses, "Speak to the Israelites that they take for Me an offering. From every man who gives it willingly and ungrudgingly with his heart you shall take my offering.""

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I watched the dogs running on the beach chasing the seagulls. They were free to run and play . . . I felt free as well, knowing I was free from my past . . . free from sin. Isn't that a wonderful feeling -- to be free?

Do you feel free today, or has the devil tied you up in knots, thinking about all your sin and mistakes made in life? You can be free today! Jesus paid the price.

Sin is a real issue for most people, but sin does not have to be a big problem. Do you know God has already made provision in His Word for your human failures? Most people make a much bigger deal out of these things than God does.

Jesus understands your human frailty because He was tempted in every way we are. Because He is your High Priest, interceding with the Father for you, you can come boldly to God's throne to receive all of His grace, favor and mercy. Remember that as you walk freely on your seashore of life today!

Hebrews 4:15-16 -- "For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weakness and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace and we may receive mercy."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I felt like the whole world was in love as I felt the love of the Father wrapped around me as I viewed His incredible creation. The sun was rising out of the ocean, the day was coming to life and the air was full of the aroma of fall . . . a new season. What a day to share the love of Jesus with everyone.

You have the opportunity every day to show Jesus to the world. You do that by walking in His love -- the love of the Father that was first revealed and expressed in His son Jesus and is now manifested in you.

The world is looking for something real, something tangible. They are looking for love, and God is the source of all love.

According to 2 Corinthians 5:20 you are Christ's ambassador, His personal representative. God is making His appeal to the world through you.

As you walk your seashore of life today, do people sense you love and care about them? Does the way you live your life make them desire to have a relationship with God? Be a light in the dark places of the world.

John 13:36 -- "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another and if you keep on showing love among yourselves."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, there is a continual refreshing in my spirit -- the air is cool, the sand is soft, the waves are crisply lashing on the sand. The sky is bluer, and the clouds seem whiter as the fall season of rest arrives. What an exciting time to be alive -- a time for new adventures with our Lord.

As I sat meditating by the beach yesterday, even the seagulls seem to be taking additional liberties as I watched them land in the pool and enjoy the water while no one is around. All of the vacationers have left the ocean, and now the seagulls have been given free access to enjoy the gift of the swimming pool without being interrupted. It was so amazing to watch them as they chirped and talked to one another!

It is a new season for all of us as we listen and watch what our Father is about to do in the earth. We have been given access to all He has and we are free to walk in it today! Are you going to stay in the sameness you have always had, or will you be like the seagulls and take advantage of the freedom you have been given . . . freedom to the keys of the Kingdom, freedom to have all your Father has planned for you.

As you walk your seashore of life today, pick up the keys to the inheritance your Father has waiting for you! Get ready to walk into the greatest time of your life! He is waiting for you . . . it belongs to you this day . . . this season! Possess the land! It belongs to you!

Joshua 1:6 -- "Be strong and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give to them."

As I walked the seaside with Jesus today, I couldn't imagine anyone not being happy with the beauty of the ocean. It just makes your heart leap and rejoice as you worship the Lord.

Many people go around complaining, always looking at what's wrong. They see the negative in every situation, and then they wonder why they're not enjoying their lives. Really, it's because they have an ungrateful, unthankful attitude. It's a heart issue, and if they don't get to the root cause and start being more grateful, it's never going to change.

God didn't give us our mouths to complain. You may not have everything you would like today. In fact, you may be dealing with a lot of problems, but complaining is only going to make natters wrong. Start thanking God for what's right, for what God has already done or what He's already given. Until you have a grateful attitude, you're going to stay right where you are.

Philippians 2:14-15 -- "Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God."
